Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady first joined the team back in March of 2020 but was only limited to practicing in the team's practice facility. He finally set foot on the Raymond James Stadium – the Bucs' home turf and the site of the upcoming Super Bowl LV.

The three-time league MVP shared what it felt like playing in a new stadium after 20 years in Foxborough:

“No butterflies. I’ve been in a lot of moments on the field,” Brady said.

“It’s more excitement than butterflies. You’re on the field. You’re prepping with your teammates. We all got to dig a little deeper — 16 plays to start the scrimmage. Guys were getting hit, going in and out. There were a lot of good things to learn from what we were doing.”

The cancellation of preseason games and a compressed training camp schedule became disadvantageous for a newcomer like Brady. Despite being possibly the GOAT, there's still obviously a lot to learn with a new offense. It was more challenging for him and his teammates to form chemistry and familiarize themselves with one another on the field as well. The 43-year old gunslinger and the rest of the Bucs are also currently pressed for time as Week 1 proceedings will begin in three weeks.

Despite the promise, Brady's debut season with the Buccaneers won't be entirely smooth-sailing. The team still finds themselves in the same division with the heavily-favored New Orleans Saints, the upstart Atlanta Falcons, and the rebuilding Carolina Panthers. He will also aim to lead the team to improve from their subpar 7-9 showing last season.

After a legendary two-decade run with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady is looking forward to another challenge and open a new chapter with the Buccaneers.
