The Milwaukee Bucks are back to being one of the best teams in the NBA this season, and it's not only because of how well Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Jrue Holiday have played.

Unfortunately for Milwaukee, Brook Lopez went down with a back injury following their opening game of the season against the Brooklyn Nets, necessitating surgery. Fortunately for the Bucks, Bobby Portis was able to step right in and not only be adequate, but be outstanding in the job he was given.

Portis is currently averaging 15.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. On roughly five shots per game, he is hitting 42.2 percent from 3-point range. That is nearly unheard of from a big man in this league, and it just goes to show what kind of player he is.

Bobby was able to have a fantastic game for the Bucks against the Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 30 points on the night with six 3-pointers. He indicated in his postgame interview after the game that he wanted to participate in the NBA 3-point challenge.

Not only did the Bucks fan-favorite say that after the game, but he also proceeded to Twitter to prove that he is serious about it, posting a photo vouching to be in the contest.

Bobby has always been recognized as a hilarious guy, which is no doubt one of the reasons why the Milwaukee Bucks fans adore him. He is deserving of a spot in the three-point shooting competition, and it will be intriguing to see whether he is selected and what he can achieve if he is.
