Milwaukee Bucks guard Donte DiVincenzo has suffered a serious tendon injury in his left foot and will be out for the rest of the postseason, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.

DiVincenzo suffered the foot injury in the Bucks' dominant 113-84 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night. The starting guard had zero points in nine minutes before leaving the game with the injury.

Milwaukee is in terrific shape in its first-round series against the Heat. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit, so the Bucks might as well be headed to the second round. However, DiVincenzo's injury could have major ramifications for the Bucks' chances of making a deep playoff run.

DiVincenzo played a large role in Milwaukee's backcourt throughout the course of the season. He was a very capable secondary ball-handler and could make plays off the dribble. The former Villanova star also made gains from the perimeter, shooting close to 38 percent from beyond the arc.

The Bucks will likely miss DiVincenzo that much more on the defensive end of the floor. He has good length and can guard multiple positions because of his athleticism, which would have been especially useful in the second round.

Milwaukee is all but assuredly headed for a date with the Brooklyn Nets, a team with arguably the most lethal backcourt in the NBA in Kyrie Irving and James Harden. The Bucks could have used DiVincenzo, in tandem with Jrue Holiday, as they attempt to keep the two superstar guards at bay.

Instead, the Bucks will need other guys to step up and play a bigger role going forward.
