Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was visibly caught in a snowstorm at the airport upon departing for their matchup against the Toronto Raptors in Tampa Bay last month. The 26-year-old claimed in the video that he wouldn't want to be in Milwaukee if that type of weather was the first thing that he saw upon landing in the city.

Despite his revelation, Antetokounpo didn't have much of a choice as he was initially selected by the Bucks with the 15th pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. He started out his career slowly as he was merely seen as a raw talent with promising physical tools that could be developed over the years.

He finished his rookie campaign with 6.8 points and 4.4 rebounds in 24.6 minutes of action in 77 appearances back in the 2013-14 season. Six years later, Antetokounmpo earned his first MVP award after averaging 27.7 points and 12.5 rebounds through 72 games played in the 2018-19 season. He followed it up with his second MVP honor in the 2019-20 season which eventually made him a sought-after player by most teams.

Antetokounmpo had a chance to leave Milwaukee and its cold weather by taking his talents elsewhere via a forced trade. However, he chose to remain loyal to the city and its fans by inking a lucrative supermax extension worth $228 million for a span of five years.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks are currently on a three-game winning streak while holding a 14-8 record for the second spot in the Eastern Conference. The two-time NBA MVP is seeking to finally get the job done this season and finally lead his team to the promised land for the first time since 1974.
