Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks are under enormous pressure heading into Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns. After all, a win gives them a chance for a comeback while a loss puts them on a 3-0 hole with virtually no chance of erasing it.

Despite the difficult task they are facing, Antetokounmpo is not letting the moment eat him. He understands what they need to do, but he is also not forgetting a more crucial aspect of the game: enjoying it. They did so during their Eastern Conference title run, and the Greek Freak believes it will also be critical if they want to come back from the 2-0 deficit.

“You know, I personally think, obviously, I know it's the Finals. Like, tomorrow, we all understand what kind of game we are getting ourselves into tomorrow,” Antetokounmpo said of Game 3 versus Suns on Sunday, per ESPN. “So we know what we got to do. But at the end of the day, you got to keep it light. You cannot tell yourself, ‘Oh, it's the Finals. You got to do this. There's so much pressure, man.' No, like, it's still basketball. It's easy to say, hard to do, but at the same time, you have to try to approach it that way. Just got to keep it light. Got to keep the ball light. You got to keep the atmosphere light.

“Once we go out there and you see the fans, you know that you understand what kind of game you're into. But me personally, one thing that helps me that I do is keep it light and enjoy that. Knowing I enjoy things, I really like put my heart into it. If I don't enjoy it, I'm just going through the motions. So I just try to enjoy it, enjoy this, try to enjoy that I'm here. We have come a long way to be in this position and we got to try to make the best out of it. That's what we did I guess in the first round, in the second round, in the third round. That's what we'll do now and hopefully it works out in our favor.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo is not merely saying things, though. He's really trying to keep things light, even starting his media availability with a joke that he's only there not to get fined.

Antetokounmpo has been sensational for the Bucks, especially in Game 2 where he banked 42 points and 12 boards in a losing effort. He was the only player for Milwaukee to have a positive plus-minus rating, which speaks volumes on the work he has to put in while on the court.

With that said, there is no denying he will be crucial for the Bucks if they want to get back into the series. They need Giannis to be at his best, though it sure looks like the two-time MVP is more than ready mentally.
