Milwaukee Bucks star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently enjoying his best season in the NBA. He has led his team to the seventh-best record in the Eastern Conference, and was named an All-Star for the second consecutive year. However, he has also been struggling to knock down shots efficiently in their last few games.

The Greek Freak recently shed light on it and talked about trying to get in a rhythm but made it clear that he thinks he is not struggling, and is just missing shots. He then added, via Eric Nehm of ESPN, that he will just continue to find a way to play like how he did earlier in the season, and trust the training that he has received.

“I don't struggle,” Antetokounmpo said, after the Pacers game on Friday night. “I just miss shots. Struggle has nothing to do with basketball. I know what the real struggle is. Missing shots is not struggle. [Not] getting into the paint that's not struggle. That's missing shots.”

“That's not being able to find a way to be effective, but like I said, I have to keep trusting my training and if I can't get in the paint, I got to keep making plays. I got to find open guys and eventually that can open up the defense and give me driving lanes.”

In the Bucks’ last four games, Giannis Antetokounpo has only made 25-of-65 shots, which is uncharacteristic of him. He is a career 50.5 percent shooter from the field, and this season has even been more effective, knocking down 53 percent of his shots. While it can be simply be called a slump, it’s not expected to last longer, especially with how good he has been and making a name for himself as one of the best players in the league today.

Antetokounmpo’s comments can also be considered good news by the Milwaukee faithful, as it shows how much confidence he has in his skill set.

He has shown what he is capable of on the court the past two seasons, and is one of the most difficult players to defend when at his best. That said, it won’t come as a complete surprise if he bounces back soon and plays at the same level he was at prior to their last four games. Should that happen, it will be a huge boost to the Bucks, and will definitely help them snap out of their current four-game losing skid.
