Giannis Antetokounmpo has made massive strides after every season, making perhaps the biggest in 2017-18, building off a Most Improved Player season and becoming the all-around leader in all five major categories once again, while being in the shortlist of the league's top scorers.

The Greek Freak looked like one of the early-season favorites to win MVP, but has been widely overtaken by the likes of James Harden, Damian Lillard, and Anthony Davis during a late-season surge.

To him, his odds of winning MVP haven't changed, regardless of where the Milwaukee Bucks stand in the Eastern Conference playoff race.

“I still am,” Antetokounmpo said when asked if he is still the MVP favorite, according to Will Gottlieb of Bleacher Report. “I'm one of the best players in the league. We're going to the playoffs. I'm still in the discussion. I might not be the favorite anymore, but I'm still in the discussion. That's how I feel.”

Teammate Jabari Parker doesn't fall far from the 23-year-old's opinion after colossal averages of 27.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game — once again giving the full combo platter most have expected of him.

“He's the MVP in all our books,” said Parker. “He's a great teammate, and we love what he does for us.”

Forward Khris Middleton argued that his time would come, whether it's this year or the next — seeing how the other candidates have had a lot more wins to their names.

“Just cause of where we are standing-wise,” Middleton said. “He's having a hell of a year, but sometimes you have to have a better record; you gotta win in this league to have the MVP. He's having a hell of a year. There's nothing wrong with him not winning it this year; he's got many more years in this league to be dominant.”
