Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Khris Middleton wants Giannis Antetokounmpo to play in the NBA Finals, but he is not going as far as to forcing his teammate to rush his recovery and risk getting injured again.

According to Middleton, during his conversations with Giannis, he has told him not to rush in his recovery and to think about his family first before anything else.

“I tell him to do what's best for himself and his family,” Middleton said of his Bucks teammate, per Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

Khris Middleton also didn't provide any update on Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury. However, he did raise hopes of a potential return of the Bucks forward as he highlighted his desire to win and work ethic.

“I expected him to come back and play the next game after he got hurt so I couldn’t tell you,” Middleton added.

Sure enough, Antetokounmpo should probably heed Middleton's advice. Given his importance to the Bucks, they simply can't afford to risk playing him if he is not at 100 percent.

The Greek Freak has been listed as doubtful for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. However, earlier reports indicate that Giannis is doing everything he can to be available for the team when they play the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Previous rumors also said that Giannis would have played had the Atlanta Hawks forced a Game 7 in their Eastern Conference Finals series, so all hope is not lost on the availability of the Bucks MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. Nonetheless, it is better not to expect too much.
