The Milwaukee Bucks are set up to meet with free agent Derrick Rose today, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The organization has been avidly trying to shed contracts in order to make moves and potentially land significant free agents, per sources.

Rose, formerly an explosive slashing guard, has settled into a more poised, less aggressive version of his MVP-self — though still the crafty finisher around the basket that can put the crowd on its feet.

While the Chicago native struggles with his perimeter shot, he can also be a much better scoring option at the point guard spot, giving the likes of Khris Middleton, Mirza Teletovic, and newly-re-signed Tony Snell open looks from deep.

One of the pieces that Milwaukee will try to move is reportedly big man Greg Monroe, who has been on the trading block on and off for the better part of one full season, as head coach Jason Kidd struggled to find a fit for his play style.

Rose's acquisition will not do much to help the Bucks' three-point shooting, but it will facilitate it for others.

The Knicks are reportedly open to having Rose return to MSG, but the organization is divided in this take, making matters more complicated than they look, according to ESPN's Ian Begley.
