The Milwaukee Bucks got a scare on Sunday in a game against the Brooklyn Nets when Giannis Antetokounmpo appeared to hurt his ankle.

In the fourth quarter of the game, Antetokounmpo was cutting up to the top of the key while defending an offensive player, and all of a sudden fell to the ground clutching his right ankle. He stayed down for some time as play continued around him until one of his teammates finally called timeout when the Bucks took possession of the ball.

After some time on the floor, Antetokounmpo got up and walked away, seemingly to the locker room, under his own power. He was limping, however.

The video of the injury is below.

While the injury looked serious in the first few seconds, it appears Antetokounmpo is no worse for the wear, per Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal.

It goes without saying that Antetokounmpo is immensely important to the Bucks. Any kind of injury to him would be devastating to the team, even though Milwaukee just got Jabari Parker back from injury.

It's good news that Antetokounmpo walked away under his own power, and that the Bucks owner said his star player is fine. But ankle injuries are always somewhat tricky.

Perhaps Antetokounmpo will feel OK at the end of the game. But the thing to watch is how he will feel tomorrow and in the days ahead.

Antetokounmpo and the Bucks should be very cautious with his ankle going forward and make sure it won't be an issue that lingers. The other good thing is the All-Star break is around the corner, so he will be able to get healthy soon.
