It has been a bit of a bumpy NFL offseason for Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jameis Winston is at the center of their misfortune due to the Bucs quarterback's three-game suspension for allegedly groping a female Uber driver back in 2016.

This has predictably put his long-term standing with the team up in the air given the nature of the incident that he was involved with off the field. According to Greg Auman of The Tampa Bay Times, Winston was notably absent from their four promotional videos that are used to generate hype around the team for the 2018 season.

The team released four short promotional videos for the season ahead, with a new “WREAK HAVOC” theme, and Winston wasn't among the players featured. The team isn't expected to release any additional videos before the season, but Winston could be included in videos released during the season.

The decision to not include Winston could be interpreted as being an intentional giving the team the chance to distance themselves from the 24-year-old. This situation placed yet another negative light upon Winston that draws more serious questions concerning his character off the field due to his previous actions prior to his NFL career that involves shoplifting along with being accused of sexual assault.

Winston has put himself in a more difficult position to where the scrutiny has been placed on him to a much greater degree for something aside from his play on the field. It also doesn't help that he has yet to have any sustained success in his first three years in the league missing the playoffs in each campaign while finishing with an under .500 record twice over that span.

If there is anything to take away from this latest situation at this point in time is that Winston's standing with the Bucs is no longer as strong and stable as it once was.
