Ahead of their second preseason game against the Tennesee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians is opting to sit out Tom Brady and the rest of his starting unit. The Bucs dropped their first preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals last Saturday and it seems that Arians and the rest of the coaching staff want to apply the maximum amount of caution ahead of the 2021 NFL Season and make sure Brady and the rest of his championship squad are as fresh as possible for Week 1.

It was ESPN's Adam Schefter who confirmed the news on Monday via Twitter. According to Schefter, unlike in their tune-up game against the Bengals, Arians does not expect Brady to suit up this Saturday and that he probably won't be the only starter that will be pulled out of the line-up.

Though it has not yet been confirmed, it should be expected that players like Robert Gronkowski, Mike Evans, and Leonard Fournette will all be sitting out.

Obviously, there is no reason for Tampa Bay fans to panic. As of writing, there are no major injuries that may have possibly caused this move from Arians which highly suggests that this is simply an effort to try and preserve his roster. Plus, this gives an opportunity for new guys like rookie QB Kyle Trask to get some reps in to try and impress the squad.

The defending Super Bowl champions will have a target on their backs for the entire 2021 season. It's now up to Tom Brady, Bruce Arians, and the rest of the Bucs to step up to the plate and defend their Super Bowl crown.
