The Chicago Bulls have signed shooting guard Sean Kilpatrick to a three-year, $6.2 million contract, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports. He is scheduled to be in Houston for tomorrow's game against the league-leading Rockets.

Kilpatrick was signed with the mid-level exception and his deal will include two team options for each of the next two seasons, granting them plenty of flexibility for salary maneuvering during the offseason.

The Cincinnati product started his season with the Brooklyn Nets, but was waived after the organization had made plans for the backcourt of the future. After landing with the Milwaukee Bucks for 23 games, he was once again waived, allowing for the Bulls to sign him after having cleared waivers.

The Boston Celtics had plans to sign the 28-year-old to a 10-day deal, following injuries to Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smart, but the 6-foot-4 guard opted for long-term insurance, which he could get with the Bulls for the time being.

Kilpatrick could make his contributions in Chicago as soon as Tuesday, as he is already in town and could see plenty of minutes with starters Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine already ruled out for the contest.

Following a couple of ground-breaking seasons with the Nets, the fourth-year veteran will play for his fourth team this season after stints with the Bucks and the L.A. Clippers.
