Ex-Chicago Bulls guard Corey Benjamin sincerely apologizes for his daughter's actions following a sucker-punch incident at an Orange County youth game.

Corey Benjamin was drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 1998 as the 28th pick of the first round. He played as a guard for the Bulls through seasons 1998 to 2001. Benjamin's stint with the Bulls was quite lackluster and short-lived, averaging only 7.7 points per game in his best season with Chicago.

Since retiring, Benjamin has devoted himself to helping his daughter achieve her basketball dreams. However, his daughter may have some attitude adjustments to make in order to fulfill her dreams.

The former Bulls guard's daughter was seen throwing sucker punches at other players during a youth game in Orange County on two separate occasions. To his surprise, Benjamin explains he wasn't at the game when it happened but expounds that he was deeply saddened upon seeing the videos of his daughter.

“This is not how I raised my daughter,” a statement from former Chicago Bulls guard Benjamin said.

“As a father, I'm shocked and disappointed at my daughter's behavior as this is not a reflection of the values and standards that my family holds. Nor does it exemplify the values, character, and spirit of sportsmanship that the game of basketball requires.”

Additionally, there are claims that Benjamin's wife provoked the aforementioned attacks. Parents of the victims are currently seeking accountability from Benjamin's daughter and wife.
