Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal was named an All-Star starter when the voting was announced on Thursday, and it's no surprise as he leads the NBA with 32.8 points per game. However, Beal also advocates strongly for Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine to be named an All-Star in the Eastern Conference.

“I feel like Zach is damn near destroying the league right now,” Beal said of the Bulls star in an interview, per KC Johnson of NBC Sports. “Like every night, he's giving it to you — three-level scorer. And he's doing it efficiently.”

Beal is certainly not wrong, as LaVine has been playing incredible basketball all season long. As the Wizards star said, hopefully, he's not snubbed.

LaVine is averaging 28.5 points per game, which is a career-high for the former UCLA star. He has scored 25 or more points in each of his last seven games with the Bulls and scored 35 or more in four of those.

He dropped 46 points on 17-of-25 shooting in a 129-116 win against the New Orleans Pelicans. Unfortunately for LaVine, the list of candidates in the East is huge, with guys like Julius Randle, Nikola Vucevic, Jerami Grant and Domantas Sabonis all possibilities with one of the final spots for the East rosters.

“Zach is a special talent. He's more than deserving of a spot,” Beal added. “What he's able to do on the floor, you have to plan for him. When you see the Chicago Bulls, ‘Oh, we got Zach LaVine tonight.' You know that's the game plan. You know the plan is to stop him. You gotta respect that.”

Nonetheless, LaVine is playing on another level of basketball and is having the best season of his career. He's shooting 52.0 percent from the field and has a 43.7 percent mark from beyond the arc, both of which are career-highs. The Bulls' athletic guard is also posting career-best marks in rebounds (5.5) and assists (5.2).

Zach LaVine is definitely deserving and getting recognition from Bradley Beal–whose having one of the best seasons of anybody in the NBA–might help out his case as everybody waits for the All-Star reserves to be announced.
