In the midst of a tight battle between the Chicago Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers, Joel Embiid lost control of the ball and immediately thought it was a foul. When not given a call, he swung his arm in frustration and almost knocked out Lonzo Ball in the process. Had the Chicago point guard not been aware of the situation, he could have been seriously injured. Here were star Zach LaVine's thoughts on the situation, per Cody Westerlund:

Though assessed with a technical foul, Embiid was able to stay in the game as referees were able to determine that his hand only grazed Ball's hair. LaVine also knew that Embiid didn't actually want to hurt Ball, but rather show his displeasure for the situation. Both teams seemed to clearly comprehend the circumstance without any problems.

The 76ers went on to defeat the Bulls 114-105. This marks the Bulls' second straight loss, with both coming from the 76ers. Center Joel Embiid ended the night with 30 points and 15 rebounds, carrying a diminished 76ers squad to their sixth victory in a row.

The Bulls have been quite a pleasant surprise this season, as they are currently 6-3 and near the top of the Eastern conference. With stars like Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan accompanied by the likes of Lonzo Ball and Nikola Vucevic, the Chicago fanbase should be excited for the rest of the season.
