The Chicago Bulls have been linked with Rudy Gobert as of late, with the team clearly aiming to fortify their interior defense. However, according to the latest reports, the Utah Jazz center is not their only target and option this offseason.

Apparently, Mitchell Robinson is also a possibility for the Bulls, though they are still doing their due diligence to assess whether the defense-first center is the right fit for what they need. Nonetheless, Chicago could end up being one of the main suitors for the Knicks enforcer, per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

The Post has learned the Bulls are continuing to do their research on Robinson ahead of the free-agency period that will begin July 1. The Bulls could be the main competitors for Robinson if the Knicks don’t lock him up to a contract extension on June 30.

Mitchell Robinson is an unrestricted free agent this 2022, and if the Bulls can snatch him away should the Knicks choose not to extend him, then it's a move that would make sense.

Besides, if they pursue a Rudy Gobert trade, they may have to part ways with Nikola Vucevic and Patrick Williams.

It remains to be seen what the Bulls end up doing, but so far, all the rumors indicate one thing: Chicago is determined to add a big man–in one way or another–who could make an immediate impact on their defense.
