There aren't many quality free agents left in the NFL but one of them Corey Liuget is making a visit to the Arizona Cardinals according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Liuget has also visited the New York Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Seattle Seahawks but didn't leave any of those teams with a deal.
Liuget was a first-round pick by the Chargers in 2011 and spent the first eight years of his career with the team before the team declined his option in February. Last season Liuget was suspended the first four games of the season because of a PED violation and then was placed on injured reserve after Week 11 due to a torn quad tendon.
Liuget is expected to be fully healthy this season and it seems like a deal that would make a lot of sense for both sides. The Cardinals desperately need depth on the defensive line, and Liuget could come in and make an immediate impact.
Outside of Corey Peters, Arizona's defensive line has a lot of question marks and it was handed another blow earlier this week. Darius Philon was expected to be a solid part of the team, but he was released after he pointed a gun outside a Los Angeles club.
The Cardinals' defense is expected to be solid and maybe even good this season, and improving the defensive line should make sure that happens. If Liuget wants to continue playing it's hard to imagine a deal won't get done by the team the visit is over.
