There have been some questions about the Arizona Cardinals and when they will turn to Josh Rosen because of the struggles of Sam Bradford. General manager Steve Keim isn't ready to make the change yet and says Josh Rosen will play “when the time is right.”

Bradford has started each of the first two games and has only thrown for 243 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions. The offense hasn't been able to get anything going and if the offense doesn't get better soon the grumblings are going to grow louder for Rosen.

“It’s a tough question,” Keim said during an appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7. “When the time is right, Josh will have his opportunity.

Keim seems concerned about playing Rosen too early and that hurting his career in the long term.

“At the same time, you never know how a guy is going to be affected. Some guys have played too early and it has crippled their career. I’m not going to name names, but I think a lot of us can think of certain players. Then there are guys who have come in and had success right away. But usually it’s a rocky road.”

Keim still has faith in Bradford and doesn't want to put all the blame on him. He said he would like to see the running game to get established early and that should help open up the rest of the offense.

“I don’t think it’s a secret it needs something,” Keim said. “More than anything, it needs some balance. We need to run the ball better. We need to protect better. We need to run crisper routes. We need to get more separation.
