Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has had somewhat of a tumultuous offseason thus far amid rumors regarding an uncertain future with the franchise. Cardinals general manager Steve Keim weighed in on the trade rumors surrounding the star quarterback and had an emphatic two-word response that should leave no doubts as to the Cardinals' position on a possible trade. Via Darren Urban, Keim shot down any talk of a Murray trade by saying there was “zero chance” of a deal.

Well, that will hopefully put that matter to rest, though knowing the NFL rumor mill, this is only the beginning. Murray and his camp have been angling for an improved contract, with the Cardinals' QB still playing under his rookie deal. Amid those demands have come trade rumors, though Arizona is adamant that the 24-year-old is not available.

Earlier in April, NFL insider Tom Pelissero revealed that Murray's agent had pulled their opening contract offer from the table, which re-fueled talks of a potential trade. Teams have reportedly been keeping tabs on the Murray situation in case he becomes available, though Keim will certainly be hoping his latest remarks on the matter will clear the air once and for all.

Last season with the Cardinals, Murray featured in 14 games, leading the team to a 9-5 record when active. He threw 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 69.2% of his passes for 3,787 yards. On the ground, he was effective, too. Kyler racked up 423 yards on 88 rush attempts alongside 5 touchdowns. The Cardinals were bounced in the first round of the playoffs by the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams.
