The Arizona Cardinals have been trying to figure out ways to utilize Haason Reddick in their defense. Reddick will be making the move to inside linebacker in 2019—after playing on the outside in his first two seasons.

The Cardinals linebacker is “feeling confident” about the ability to move to inside linebacker in Vance Joseph's new defense. Of course, Arizona brought in Joseph as their new defensive coordinator under Kliff Kingsbury.

Last season, the Cardinals ran a 4-3 defensive scheme with Steve Wilks as their head coach. Wilks has since been fired and there is a whole new staff in place for the 2019 season in Arizona.

Joseph runs a 3-4 scheme which means he will need two capable linebackers to handle the duties of an inside linebacker. As a result, Arizona will have lofty expectations for their former first-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

One thing has been a constant in Reddick's career and that is change. Since joining the Cardinals, Reddick has gone through three different defensive coordinators in three seasons.

Also, he has been moved around as an edge rusher, to a pure outside linebacker in a 4-3, and now will shift to the inside. If anything, it shows that the young linebacker is very versatile—which bodes well for the Cardinals moving forward.

Reddick may have found a constant role with the Cardinals after being rumored in trade talks last year. If Arizona can allow Reddick to learn his new position, he could become one of the best in the game at inside linebacker.
