The Arizona Cardinals are crawling through the last few weeks of the 2018 season that has featured plenty of struggles along the way.

Much of which has seen rookie quarterback Josh Rosen work through much of his growing pains as he gathers more much-needed experience to help him work toward improving on the field. Head coach Steve Wilks is determined to allow Rosen to get those opportunities over the rest of the season as he voiced on Monday that he will remain the starter, per Darren Urban AZCardinals.com.

Since taking over as the starter this season over the last 11 games, Rosen has had much difficulty finding consistent success as he has passed for 2,042 yards while holding a 55.7 percent completion rate with 10 touchdowns to 14 interceptions, and a 66.3 passer rating. He has thrown an interception in all but three games this year while breaking 200 passing yards four times this year.

On top of that, Rosen is coming off another difficult performance in the 40-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons as he completed 13-of-22 passes for 133 yards with a pair of interceptions. This had resulted in the Cardinals electing to turn to backup Mike Glennon to step in as he completed 10-of-14 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown. Granted, Glennon's production came in essentially garbage time in the game, he was the more effective option in the game.

Despite that, the coaching staff has remained quite confident that Rosen is their best option at quarterback in the final two games of the season. The Cardinals have some tough matchups left on the docket against the Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks, who are both jocking for playoff position. There could foreseeably be more struggles ahead for Rosen, but it's something that Arizona appears to be more than willing to let him work through to wrap up his rookie campaign.
