Although the Arizona Cardinals do not appear to be done adding pieces to their receiving corps, it seems head coach Kliff Kingsbury is optimistic about the players he already has to work with.

Returning to his usual post as the No. 1 wideout is Larry Fitzgerald. According to Darren Urban of the team's official website, Kingsbury is happy to have Fitzgerald leading the way for some of the other younger receivers:

“I’m excited about it, honestly, for them to start with a young quarterback and grow up together,” Kingsbury said. “Learn a system and hopefully grow up in a system for I hope quite some time. To me, it’s a fresh start for all those guys, and to learn from a guy like Fitz, that’s one way to expedite things as a pro.”

There is good reason for Kingsbury to be confident having the assistance of a player like Fitzgerald. He continues to add to his stellar legacy by fending off Father Time with one productive season after another. It is safe to say he will face perhaps his biggest task in helping to stabilize an offense lead by a first-year head coach and quarterback.

While the Cardinals have expressed high hopes for second-year wideout Christian Kirk, they are also betting on wide receiver Kevin White to potentially provide them with some bang for their buck. Meanwhile, the potential addition of wide receiver Michael Crabtree could provide quarterback Kyler Murray another promising talent to work with.

Regardless, it appears Kingsbury will be relying on Fitzgerald to provide the Cardinals' passing game with some much-needed experience in the 2019 NFL season.
