Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl quarterback Kyler Murray and All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins both missed practice again Thursday, per Matthew Berry. Murray injured his ankle late in the loss last Thursday to the Green Bay Packers.

Meanwhile, Hopkins pulled a hamstring earlier in that same game. Hopkins reportedly forced his way back into the game late but was clearly not at full strength. Both are yet to see the practice field.

The fact neither of them has practiced in any capacity this week is especially worrisome, considering they had a few extra days rest playing on Thursday Night Football in Week 8.

Kyler Murray is the spark to this offense. Since entering the league, the Cardinals have gone from bottom dwellers to among the elite offenses. Fantasy football managers have taken notice. Until his stinker vs Green Bay, Murray was averaging over 29 fantasy points per game. In a couple of games, he put up week-winning numbers as well.

DeAndre Hopkins, on the other hand, has been a little disappointing. He has still performed at a WR1 level, but not close to the production he had in his first season with Murray under center. Hopkins has yet to top 100 yards receiving in a game this year.

That is probably in part due to the fact that the Cardinals brought in veteran receiver AJ Green. Green was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.

If Hopkins and Murray are unable to play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers, you might want to avoid this offense entirely. Back in Week 5, the 49ers' defense held the Cardinals to a season-low 304 of total yards of offense. That was with Murray, Hopkins, and AJ Green on the field.

However, if Murray suits up and you are looking for a replacement for Hopkins, Christian Kirk or even newly acquired Zach Ertz might be a safe option in the flex spot.
