The Arizona Cardinals have had a less-than-ideal situation with star quarterback Kyler Murray this NFL offseason. First, Murray, who has been seeking a new contract, removed all things Cardinals from his social media page. Then, through his agent, the star signal-caller released a statement detailing the request for a new contract, which certainly upped the stakes a bit.

About a week ago, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim said that he thinks the two sides “will be able to get something done this summer.”

For insight on the most improved teams from the 2022 NFL offseason, listen below:

Murray, who skipped the first week of OTAs, made a huge move on Wednesday, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Per Schefter, Murray was back at the Cardinals' training facility for OTAs, which resumed on Wednesday. It's the first time that the star quarterback will be present for the team's NFL offseason program.

While many NFL players opt to skip OTAs, which are technically voluntary, it wasn't seen as a good sign that Murray was absent, especially in the midst of stalled contract talks.

Could his presence on Wednesday indicate that the contract drama is a thing of the past? Cardinals fans certainly hope so, as Murray has been electric through three NFL seasons, making the Pro Bowl in each of the last two campaigns.

The Cardinals have improved each year with Murray as the starter. That's why he wants a payday.

Will the team give it to him? Wednesday's events are the first step towards a contract agreement between the two sides happening.
