It sounds like someone doesn't want Kyler Murray to play in Arizona.

At least, that's what Mike Florio has written for NBC Sports.

Murray is one of the most in-demand players in the NFL Draft, and it looks like teams are vying for their chance to draft him.

And it looks like they're willing to do underhanded things to make sure that Murray doesn't head over to Arizona. No one said that football was fair.

Florio is, of course, basing his assessment on what Charley Casserly had previously reported, though he also admits that Casserly may have gotten the assessment wrong, as well.

From NBC Sports:

“Setting aside the question of whether Casserly, who isn’t a reporter, was accurately describing what the Cardinals were doing (they may have been merely gauging interest in a potential trade, in order to make the most informed decision regarding their plans for the No. 1 overall pick), the fact that someone regards Rosen as available means that someone believes the Cardinals plan to take Murray with the first overall pick in the draft. Which means that someone apparently wants to make the Cardinals sufficiently weak in the knees to pass on Murray.”

With that all said, it doesn't seem like Kyler Murray will be hurting for a position in the NFL, especially since — as we'd previously reported — he's considered the number one draft pick in the league, beating out players like Nick Bosa.

The Cardinals have a tough decision to make, but they certainly seem to like Murray a lot.
