For the first time in his nine-year NBA career, Kemba Walker, along with the Boston Celtics, is heading to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Walker, who's playing in his first season with the Celtics, spent countless seasons of his All-Star career with the underwhelming Charlotte Hornets. Throughout his eight seasons with the Hornets, they only made the playoffs twice and failed to advanced past the first round both times.

However, ever since signing with the Celtics, Walker has accomplish more in one season than his eight seasons with the Hornets.

After the Celtics' Game 7 win over the Toronto Raptors, head coach Brad Stevens spoke out about how happy is his for Walker and what this means for him.

“He deserves to experience this. He’s everything that’s good about basketball. He loves the game, he’s a great teammate, he doesn’t care if he gets any of the glory,” Brad Stevens said, via John Karalis in masslive.com. “He’s just a special guy. Guys like that deserve to play on these stages and for all the marbles. And I’m glad he gets to keep doing it.”

Furthermore, Celtics star Jaylen Brown also spoke out on what Walker's leadership role for the team.

“Kemba, since he’s got here, his energy, it’s just been great for us,” Jaylen Brown said. “He’s a great guy, a humble guy. And anything he asks me to do I’ll do. Because I know he’s doing it, he’s telling me because he wants me to be better and I’m appreciative. I’m just grateful to be on this team.”

Nevertheless, the job isn't finished for Walker and the Celtics. They still need eight more wins to win accomplish their ultimate goal, which is winning the NBA championship inside the unprecedented bubble.
