Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is without a doubt one of the best coaching minds in the NBA today. The young coach had a stellar collegiate coaching resume with Butler University, making his rise in the league not much of a surprise.

His genius was displayed during the 2016-17 season, where he clinched an Atlantic Division title with a ragtag Celtic team which was defeated by a mighty Cleveland Cavaliers squad in the Eastern Conference Finals in five games. He was under the spotlight once more last season, resiliently orchestrating a playoff charge to the Eastern Conference Finals despite the loss of All-Stars Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving due to injury. Although they pushed the mighty LeBron James-led Cavaliers to the brink, the Celtics failed to take the series in Game 7.

As the new season approaches, it looks like Stevens is now locked in than ever. In a tweet from Jared Weiss of The Athletic, it seems that things going on within the Celtics' training camp are not up to par with their head coach's expectations.

It may be a result of the offseason complacency or first-day blues, whatever the reason for the performance may be, Stevens will definitely not take this lying down. The Celtics pride themselves in elite level defense, working switches and exploiting defensive matchups like clockwork; their team was one of the best in limiting points last season.

With Brad Stevens at the helm and the history of their defensive rating under him, the Celtics are expected to have another fruitful season.
