What a start to the 2022 NBA Finals! The Boston Celtics looked like they were going to bow down to the Golden State Warriors after the third quarter of Game 1. However, in a shocking turn of events, Jaylen Brown, Al Horford, and the men in green launched a rousing comeback in the fourth quarter, stealing victory from the home team.

What's scary about this win, though, is that this isn't even the best form of the Celtics. If you don't believe that, well, coach Ime Udoka readily admitted that in his post-game interview. Udoka also noted another interesting stat that should scare Warriors fans around the world. (via Keith Smith)

Truly, the Celtics did not look like a team that belonged in the NBA Finals at times. Their first and third quarters, in particular, were terrible: both times, they started off flat and didn't recover during the quarter. However, they would somehow find their groove at the next quarter and absolutely manhandle the Warriors.

A huge part of this were the big debuts from Jaylen Brown and Al Horford. With co-star Jayson Tatum misfiring, the Celtics needed someone else to pick up the slack. Brown answered the call, picking on the Warriors with his isolation scoring while Horford fed on the easy looks he was given all game long.

The Celtics have essentially stolen home-court advantage for the time being. They'll be heading back to Boston with a 1-1 record at the very least, which is a great sign for them. Can they sustain their momentum and take down the rising former champions?
