Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks went down the wire. In the end, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. who escaped with a 110-107 win in what was an asbolute thriller.

Celtics head coach Ime Udoka was not at all pleased with how his team let the Bucks come from behind to steal away the victory. After the game, the 44-year-old shot caller admitted that his team just gave up a tremendous opportunity to get ahead in this second-round series (h/t Jared Weiss of The Athletic):

Ime Udoka says he knows they gave up a golden opportunity tonight.

The Celtics were up by six points with less than two minutes remaining in the ballgame. However, they allowed the Bucks to close out the contest with an 11-2 run. According to Udoka, their inability to secure key rebounds was one of the biggest factors that led to their downfall:

“We didn’t make game clinching plays and put our foot on the gas and run away with it. We always gave them hope with those offensive rebounds,” he said.

The Celtics now must win Game 6 in Milwaukee to keep their season alive. A loss will spell the end of what has been a memorable campaign for them.
