The Boston Celtics let a big one slip away on Monday night when they allowed the Golden State Warriors to escape with a 104-94 win in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Celtics mounted a tremendous comeback in the third period and they did a masterful job in holding back Stephen Curry throughout the contest. In the end, however, the Dubs still managed to win the game, en route to taking a 3-2 advantage in the series.

The good news for the Celtics is that Game 6 now shifts to their home court. Jaylen Brown knows exactly what this means, and he's now sent a strong challenge to Boston fans ahead of their do-or-die matchup on Thursday:

“We worked incredibly hard all season to put ourselves in this position,” said Brown, via Taylor Snow of NBA.com. “I still feel like we have so much better basketball to play that we haven't played in the last two games.

“I'm hoping that the next two games we play Celtic basketball and put our best foot forward like I know we can. I know the city is going to be behind us. It's going to be a big Game 6. Looking forward to it.”

Brown is adamant that the Celtics will be leaving it all out on the floor in Game 6, and he's hoping that the entire city of Boston rallies behind their cause. The Celtics have one of, if not the most passionate fanbases in the entire NBA, and as Brown implied in his statement above, the team will need every bit of this support come Thursday night.
