The Boston Celtics dropped yet another game on Friday, losing 108-92 to the Atlanta Hawks. That put the team at 25-25 on the year, which is certainly not even close to expectations.

Post-game, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown detailed all the things that went wrong for the Celtics in what was a rather awful performance, shooting a mere 19% from three-point range.

Via Jay King of The Athletic:

Jaylen Brown on the fourth quarter woes: “I guess you could say execution offensively hasn't been great really all season. So at times when we hit those moments of adversity in the fourth quarter, we tend to show what we've been in those moments.”

Jayson Tatum said he may have settled for too many 3s for the Celtics. Took some tough ones against Hawks bigs: “Yeah, you know, those are the ones where you make it and everybody is clapping and shit, and when you miss it, you’re like, ‘I probably should have penetrated.'”

Jaylen Brown: “I turned the ball over too much. We turned the ball over too much. And it cost us the game.”

Between the mistakes, dismal shooting, and the lack of fourth-quarter execution, it was really a forgettable performance from the Celtics. 16 turnovers translated into 24 points for Atlanta, while Boston also shot just 35% from the field.

The final period has been the kryptonite of Ime Udoka's squad all season long as they struggle to close it out. The Celtics were outscored 28-15 down in that quarter and sit 20th in the league in points scored and points allowed in the fourth.

Boston is back at it on Saturday against the Pelicans in the tail-end of a back-to-back.
