Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics will face Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat in the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals at Walt Disney World down in Orlando, Florida.

After defeating the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs in seven epic games, Tatum and the Celtics will get a few days off before the Heat series starts. Game 1 of the conference finals is set for Tuesday, Sept. 15.

While speaking to reporters about the Celtics-Heat series, Tatum said Boston will use its experience from the Raptors series.

“They’re bigger than us, for the most part,” Jayson Tatum said, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

“They’re a great team, well coached. They’ve got some great players. And they compete. So I think Toronto is a great test for us, because Toronto, they compete as hard as anybody, and they make you bring it every night. So going toe to toe, going seven with them, I think it’ll really help us going forward next round. Because we’re here to compete for a championship. So, getting a couple days off will help. Just got to get ready for Miami.”

The Celtics went 2-1 against the Heat during the 2019-20 regular season. Miami, though, is the hottest team in the 2020 playoffs, as they have only lost once and are fresh off of taking down the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.

The matchup between Tatum and Butler is going to be a fun one. The Celtics star is averaging 25.3 points, 10.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists in the 2020 postseason thus far while shooting 44.7 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and 77.2 percent from the free throw line.
