With their backs up against the wall, the Boston Celtics went into Game 6 on Friday with one thing on their mind: Win and we head back home for Game 7. Thanks to a ridiculous performance from superstar Jayson Tatum, they did just that.

The Celtics secured a 108-95 victory on the road, with Tatum going off for 46 points as he and Giannis Antetokounmpo went toe to toe all game long. In the process, Tatum became just the second player in franchise history to record multiple games with 45+ points in the postseason.

The Celtics All-Star was in his bag. 7 for 15 from deep and 17 for 32 from the field. Tatum couldn't miss in Game 6, also hitting numerous clutch shots in the fourth quarter. The forward did get some help though, with Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown combining for 43 points.

These are the type of games that prove whether a player is a star or not. Tatum rose to the occasion and delivered in a massive way. That's now three outings in a row where the former Duke standout has collected 30 or more points, balling out for 34 in a heartbreaking Game 5 loss a couple of days ago.

If Jayson Tatum can play like this in Game 7 on Sunday, the Celtics will have a very good chance at booking their ticket to the conference finals and eliminating the defending champions.
