Jayson Tatum had a special rookie year last season and there has been a lot of talk about how well he can play in his sophomore campaign. There are lots of expectations and some are saying the Boston Celtics forward is already turning into the next NBA superstar.

Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report released his list of the NBA's most overhyped players going into next season and included Tatum on that list. Tatum was asked if he saw the report and told Chris Forsberg of ESPN that he did.

“I saw it. But, good or bad, articles really don’t faze me. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. My job is to play basketball; their job is to write articles. I’ll stick to my job.”

In Hughes' article, he admits how talented Tatum is but with the expectations that are on his shoulder, there are some questions about them being met considering how loaded the Celtics are in 2018-19.

I already slapped the franchise label on Jayson Tatum earlier this month, so let's start by acknowledging that the guy has immense potential. He showed it during last year's playoff run, when he led the Boston Celtics with 18.5 points per game.

But consider the obstacles ahead of Tatum this season, and you'll see why we should hold off on crowning him a megastar right away.

Kyrie Irving has never been one to take a backseat, and with him back on the floor, it'll be much harder for Tatum to build on his postseason takeover. Throw Gordon Hayward into the mix, and there will be even fewer touches for the 20-year-old wing.

It will be interesting to see how Tatum does this upcoming season but there is no question that doubters will also be on the lookout for any slippage.
