You may not like Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving’s scientific views but you've got to admire him for what he did to a young fan Friday night.

Following the Celtics’ 110-102 win over Philadelphia at Wells Fargo Center, Irving spotted a fan, who was wearing his Cleveland Cavaliers jersey, in the stands. And instead of ignoring the wine-and-gold sporting kid for his wrong choice of attire at the ballgame, Irving chose to give the youngster a memory he’ll surely never forget.

Irving signed the pair of shoes he wore in the game and hands it to the delighted kid, who must have been very thankful that he had a pen in his pocket.

Irving and the Cavaliers parted controversially over the summer but Irving knew better than to let that part of his story waste an opportunity to make someone’s life brighter.

That kid will grow up and will likely want to be just like Uncle Drew.
