Right after the Boston Celtics won against the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday, Kyrie Irving immediately took off his game-worn jersey and sneakers. However, it wasn’t inside their locker room. Irving then made his way to a group of soldiers at courtside and handed his stuff over to them.

It was truly a classy gesture from the four-time All-Star, as it shows how much he appreciates the men and women who continue to put their lives at risk in order to serve and protect the country. Kyrie Irving drew some applause from the crowd inside the Barclays Center, as he left the military personnel very happy and in shock of his good act.

Despite suffering a minor facial fracture last week, Irving still played at a high level on the night. The protective mask did not appear to distract him, as he once again led the Celtics with 25 points, three rebounds, five assists, and one steal. More importantly, it extended their winning streak to 13 games, and they continue to be the top team in the Eastern Conference.

The win also adds to their momentum heading into their marquee matchup versus the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, in what’s expected to be a highly-competitive game between two title favorites.
