The Boston Celtics have one of the deepest rosters in the NBA, but that doesn't mean they're done looking for ways to improve it. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Boston is finalizing a deal to bring in Marcus Georges-Hunt for training camp. Georges-Hunt, 24, is entering his third year in the league after two quick stints with the Orlando Magic and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

He only played five games for the Magic and 42 games for the Timberwolves. He was never capable of carving out consistent minutes for either squad. He's hoping to change that this season in Boston.

While Georges-Hunt has never played a game for the Boston Celtics, he's still a familiar face. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard played 45 games for the Maine Red Claws — Boston's G-League affiliate — during the 2016-17 season.

He showcased his ability to contribute in a number of different ways. Whether that's his scoring touch, ability to distribute the ball, or willingness to attack the glass for rebounds depends on the night. Georges-Hunt averaged 15.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game with Maine.

Georges-Hunt's chances at making the Celtics may not be great, but even if he ends up with the Red Claws again, a call-up to the Celtics remains a possibility. Injuries can always play a factor in a team's season and the Celtics know that better than anyone.
