Only a few days after the Golden State Warriors won this season's title, teams are already shifting their focus on free agency and have their eyes set on the players they want to bring in to their lineups.

One of the most coveted soon-to-be free agents this summer is Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward, who has consistently been linked to the Boston Celtics. There is growing belief that he wants to play for the Beantown team as they offer the situation he is apparently looking for.

The 27-year-old Butler product has reportedly been wanting to play for contender and also under the tutelage of Brad Stevens once again. Finishing first in the Eastern Conference this season, and with his college coach still under contract in Boston, the team is considered as the slight favorite to land the services of the All-Star forward.

Hayward had his best season as a pro this year with averages of 21.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. He has emerged as one of the better small forwards in the league thanks to his complete skillset.

Should the Celtics win the sweepstakes for his services, he would give them another scoring option and a big name player who may be the key for them to get over the Cleveland Cavaliers. It will also force the Cavs to also add another player or two to bolster their lineup, if they want to continue their reign in their conference.
