In addition to being a leading candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has some tremendous flow. Or, rather, he had tremendous flow.

Herbert showed up to his Wednesday media session with a fresh cut, prompting some hilarious Twitter reactions:

Fans responded with all kind of humorous imagery:

The Athletic's Nicole Auerbach had a more visceral reaction:

More still scrapped together previous images of Herbert in his days at Oregon, indicating he has, in fact, rocked this kind of appearance in the recent past:

Herbert explained how his haircut went down:

The Chargers could not care less what kind of haircut Herbert has, so long as he continues to play at a high level.

Herbert was a surprise starter in Week 2 after Tyrod Taylor's pregame injection went wrong. The rookie has never looked back.

The 22-year-old has been the best rookie quarterback in football, completing over 66 percent of his passes for 2,333 yards and 19 touchdowns against six interceptions. Herbert is averaging 7.8 yards gained per pass attempt, and he has also rushed for 176 yards and three scores.

Unfortunately for the Chargers, Herbert has been unable to end L.A.'s losing skid. Injuries on both sides of the ball and a number of second-half letdowns have resulted in Herbert losing each of his first six starts.

Nevertheless, the future is bright in L.A. with Herbert under center.
