The Los Angeles Chargers kept chugging along in a convincing 28-6 win on the road over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving behind a strong offensive showing.

Pro Bowl quarterback Philip Rivers led the charge throwing for a season-high 434 passing yards on an efficient 27-of-33 completed passes with three touchdowns. It was done without the services of rookie wideout Mike Williams, who exited Thursday's game on a cart after suffering a knee injury in the first quarter.

According to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk, the Chargers got the news they hoped to receive as an MRI revealed that the 23-year-old did not tear his ACL.

The Chargers got confirmation of what they expected and hoped: Wide receiver Mike Williams did not tear his ACL.

Coach Anthony Lynn told reporters Friday that an MRI ruled that out. The Chargers will continue to evaluate him.

Williams is likely expected to miss a few games due to the knee injury, but it at least keeps him in the picture to return this season and avoid a long and arduous recovery process from a torn ACL. The Chargers will continue to monitor the situation closely moving forward given that he had missed offseason workouts and training camp with a lower back disc herniation that he suffered during the first day of rookie minicamp back in May.

He has played in six games this season where he has made nine catches on 16 targets for 84 yards while converting six first downs. Williams was coming off his best performance with five catches for 38 yards against the Buffalo Bills.

Los Angeles should turn to Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin to fill his void in the passing game. Williams strung together two catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Cowboys.
