Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert threw a 14-yard touchdown to wide receiver Keenan Allen to shrink their deficit to 21-16 against the Carolina Panthers.

The pass was the rookie's first thrown touchdown of the contest for the Chargers. Prior to the throw he'd only had one interception to show for his 260 passing yards. He's completed 28 of 39 passes as well.

Herbert had quickly won over the NFL world after his performance against the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 that resulted in a loss. Due to that, his performance in this game had been nothing short of expected against a Panthers team the Chargers were slated to beat. Herbert will continue to look for wideout Allen in the event they retain possession of the ball and can advance it far enough downfield for an eventual score.

If not, Herbert's outing was once again decent for the Chargers, though many will argue the offense could've been more productive in efforts to being victorious over a beatable Carolina team.
