The Kansas City Chiefs were able to defeat the Denver Broncos in the snow in Week 15 and a former head coach of the team was impressed with how Patrick Mahomes performed.

Following the game, Dick Vermeil said he's never seen a quarterback play like Mahomes did in the snow on Sunday.

In the game, Mahomes completed 27 of his 34 passing attempts, which resulted in his highest completion percentage in a game he attempted more than 11 passes. At the same time, he had 340 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.

Early on Sunday morning, snow was covering the field at Arrowhead Stadium. Throughout the game, the snow continued to fall gradually and obviously hindered the Broncos' offense.

As for Patrick Mahomes, he was unphased by the weather conditions, as he led the Chiefs to a 23-3 win at home. It wasn't the best game of his career, but it was impressive to see him perform nearly flawlessly in the winter weather.

The performance was so impressive, it resulted in Vermeil's aforementioned claim. Vermeil was the head coach in Kansas City from 2001-2005. Therefore, he knows how bad the weather can get when the Chiefs have to play at Arrowhead Stadium in December.

With a win on Sunday, Kansas City has improved to 10-4 and remain as the third seed in the AFC. Depending on what happens in the final two weeks, the Chiefs could be hosting a postseason game in the Wild Card Round.

Regardless of who the Chiefs play, Mahomes seems to be content if there's a game that involves snow in the playoffs. This is unfortunate news for the rest of the teams in the AFC playoff picture.
