The Kansas City Chiefs did not need any extra motivation for Week 14 considering that they came into the game with a five-game winning streak. Still, the Las Vegas Raiders provided them with bulletin board material ahead of the game.

The Raiders opted to have their pregame huddle at the Chiefs logo in midfield, which garnered plenty of boos from the Arrowhead Stadium crowd.

This move quickly backfired on the Raiders, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes guided the Chiefs offense to four touchdown drives in the first half. The Chiefs took care of business in the second half as they clinched a statement 48-9 win over the Raiders to extend their winning streak to six games.

Mahomes took notice of the Raiders' pregame huddle at the Chiefs logo, which he touched on during his post-game press conference.

“You don't want people coming into your stadium and trying to disrespect things that you've built,” Mahomes said.

As noted, the Chiefs did not need any more motivation for their AFC West bout with the Raiders. Last year, the Raiders grabbed the headlines after their road win over the Chiefs as their team bus took a victory lap around the stadium following the game.

Mahomes was set on not letting the Raiders get the last laugh at Arrowhead Stadium this time around.

“I know last time, [the Raiders] were doing bus laps around [Arrowhead Stadium], so we definitely wanted to make sure we were winning this time,” Mahomes said.

The Chiefs now boast a 9-4 record and remain at the top spot in the AFC West standings. Another divisional test will await them next week as they will face off with the Los Angeles Chargers for a Thursday Night Football encounter.
