Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is set to release a new podcast titled “It Had To Be Said” on June 10th. During a sneak peak released Wednesday, a clip appeared to show the All-Pro receiver throwing shade in the direction of the Chiefs.

The clip opens with renowned football agent Drew Rosenhaus talking from his car about Hill's previous contract dispute with Kansas City. He goes on to say that they had reached out to the Chiefs and how they wanted Hill to be back with them. Hill then interjects saying “Yes, yes, say that again… Tyreek wanted to be in Kansas City.”

The presumed host of the podcast then asks a very bold question. A question that is sure to stir up plenty of controversy.

“This is a situation where… you (Hill) know what you are capable of. Drew knows what you are capable of. The team (Chiefs) know what you are capable of. But they just didn't utilize you. Do you think this was a situation to suppress your stats to drop that value down?”

That's where the clip ends as Hill is about to answer the question. It certainly was attempting to imply that might be what the Pro Bowl receiver is thinking.

During the 2021 season, Hill had a pretty fantastic year. He finished with over 1,200 yards receiving and nine touchdowns. However, during the end of the season, his production plummeted. The former Kansas City superstar caught just 15 balls over five of the last six games total.

In theory, that could have lowered his leverage for negotiating a new contract. But in the playoffs, Hill went back to producing at a massive level.

Nevertheless, it will certainly be interesting to see how he answered that question on June 10th.
