As part of a recent brainstorming of predictions, the experts and analysts at ESPN named the Los Angeles Clippers as their favorite to win the 2019-20 NBA Finals.

The Clippers played well last season. In fact, their 48-34 overall record earned a No. 8 seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Unfortunately, though, L.A. was defeated by the Golden State Warriors in the opening round of postseason play. For the coming season, however, the odds have swung even further in their favor, as the team added Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to their roster over the summer.

ESPN polled a panel of experts for several predictions. When it was time to discuss a potential champion for the 2019-20 campaign, they favored the Clippers by a fairly wide margin.

Via ESPN:

1. LA Clippers: 117 points (54.5% first-place votes)

2. Milwaukee Bucks: 85 points (36.4% first-place votes)

3. Philadelphia 76ers: 38 points (6.1% first-place votes)

4. Los Angeles Lakers: 29 points

5. Golden State Warriors: 15 points (3.0% first-place votes)

As a point of reference, the Warriors received every first-place vote in this category heading into the 2018-19 season. Clearly, ESPN feels that the new-look Clippers are a real threat.

With two of the top-10 players in the NBA onboard, the Clippers will undoubtedly be looking to make another run at the postseason.
