Los Angeles Clippers big man Montrezl Harrell left the Orlando bubble on July 17 to be with his grandmother.

On Friday, Harrell posted a heartwarming tribute to her, as it appears Trez's grandma has passed away.

Thoughts and prayers are certainly with Montrezl Harrell and his family. It is certainly a very tough time for the Clippers big man.

Since basketball is definitely not on Harrell's mind at this time, it is looking likely that it will take some more time before he returns to the Orlando bubble and plays for the Clippers. When he returns to the bubble, Harrell will be subjected to a league-mandated quarantine of at least four days before he can begin team activities again.

Harrell was averaging 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.7 assists for the Clippers in 63 games before the season was suspended in March. He was also shooting 58.0 percent from the field and 65.8 percent from the free-throw line in a contract year.

The Clippers fell to the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. They will face the New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, and Oklahoma City Thunder in the remaining seven seeding games before the 2020 playoffs start.

With everything that has happened, Harrell will surely be motivated when he plays again to help the Clippers win their first title in franchise history.
