The Ole Miss Rebels will take on the Tennessee Volunteers in another SEC battle of Week 7. It's time to continue our college football odds series and make an Ole Miss-Tennessee prediction and pick.

This game may not be a matchup between two ranked teams (Ole Miss is No. 13), but it should be just as good as one. Ole Miss has been one of the most exciting teams in the nation with quarterback Matt Corral at the helm, with the Heisman Trophy candidate leading the Rebels to a 4-1 record. Their only loss came at the hands of the Alabama Crimson Tide, so there's nothing to be ashamed of there. Tennessee has been nearly as fun to watch as Ole Miss, with first-year head coach Josh Heupel turning the Volunteers into one of the best offensive units in the nation. This game should be an entertaining one with plenty of fireworks, so let's get into the pick.

Here's how the bookmakers have set the lines for Saturday's game.

Why Ole Miss Could Cover The Spread

Ole Miss has relied almost entirely on their offense this season, and this game will be no different. They rank inside the top 10 in the nation in points per game, yards per game, points per play, and yards per play. The aforementioned Corral is clearly one of the best signal-callers in the nation, and the only defense that has been able to slow him down has been Alabama. The Volunteers have been absolutely horrendous against opposing passing games, proven by the fact that they rank close to the worst in the nation in nearly every stat used to measure pass defense. Corral should have an absolute field day against this flimsy Tennessee defense.

Despite playing in the toughest conference in college football, the Vols have yet to run into a truly elite offense until now. The Florida Gators torched them for 38 points and they allowed 41 to the Pittsburgh Panthers, but neither of those teams are as good offensively as the Rebels are. Everything about this matchup points to Ole Miss hanging at least 50 points on this defense that is just not up to this task.

Why Tennessee Could Cover The Spread

These two squads are actually pretty similar. The Volunteers are one of the few teams that can hope to hang with Ole Miss offensively, as they average 38 points per game and 484 yards per game. Both of those numbers are inside the top 20 in college football, so it's fair to say this is an elite offensive team. The vast majority of Tennessee's yardage comes on the ground, where they've earned 5.4 yards per carry and 263 yards per game. The Rebels have allowed 213 yards per game to opposing rushing attacks, so this is a perfect matchup for Tennessee's offense. Running the ball well and keeping Matt Corral on the sidelines will help the Vols' defense tremendously while also scoring points for Tennessee.

It's hard to overlook the massive advantage playing at home allows the Volunteers. The Rebels have only played a road game once this season, and that was their lone loss. It's also a night game, meaning that the stadium is sure to have every single seat filled. Tennessee is also 3-1 at home this season, so they clearly enjoy their home-field advantage.

Final Ole Miss-Tennessee Prediction & Pick

This game has the potential to be the best one of the weekend. There will be constant scoring, but it's hard to bet the over when the line is set at a ridiculous 8. Instead, take Tennessee to cover in this one. They play at home, and their run-heavy style is the perfect counter to the insanely good passing attack of Ole Miss.

FINAL PICK: Tennessee Volunteers +2 1/2 (-110)
