What a difference a year makes. Just ask Eric Ebron.

In March of 2017, the former top-10 pick was looking for a new NFL home after underwhelming during his first four years in the league with the Detroit Lions. The Indianapolis Colts picked him up with a modest two-year deal, giving Ebron the opportunity to start his career anew and live up to the potential that made him an elite tight end prospect.

How did he respond? With career-highs across the board of 66 catches, 750 yards, and 13 touchdowns, tied for second in the league behind Antonio Brown.

Now entrenched as one of Indianapolis' most important playmakers, Ebron is doing all he can to ensure another uber-talented free agent knows he has the chance to turn his career around with the Colts.

On Tuesday morning, Ebron reached out to free agent safety Landon Collins on twitter, using one of the most famous memes in NFL history to entice the former New York Giants star to sign in Indianapolis.

The Giants reportedly informed Collins on Monday that they would not use the franchise tag on him this offseason, making him a free agent. Previous reports indicated that the three-time Pro Bowler had no interest playing on a one-season deal in 2019, and is instead intent on signing a long-term contract.

On Tuesday, Collins posted a farewell message to the Giants on social media, confirming that he will indeed continue his playing days elsewhere going forward.

Just 25, Collins figures to be the most highly-sought free agent safety on the market. He'd be great fit for the Colts, whose talented young front seven helped them rebound from an awful start to 2018 by making the playoffs and beating the Houston Texans in the first round.
