Colts QB Carson Wentz makes shocking development on Friday

Colts, Carson Wentz,

The Indianapolis Colts have been pondering how to handle the Carson Wentz injury all week in preparation for their game on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans. Wentz left the team’s previous game against the Los Angeles Rams due to noticeably limited mobility, and it was revealed that he had a pair of sprained ankles, putting his status in doubt.

But, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic, the Carson Wentz injury is not as severe as previously thought. Wentz was practicing on Friday, and that should be a good sign for his availability on Sunday.

The Colts had expected to start Jacob Eason or Brett Hundley for Sunday’s game with the status of Wentz greatly in doubt. Now it appears his arrow is trending up in what has been a stunning turn of events for the Colts.

Sprains of both ankles are tough to overcome, but it is an undeniably good sign for game participation that Wentz practiced on Friday. Practice availability is regularly a strong indicator of Sunday availability. Perhaps the Colts can rely on their starter instead of having to call up one of the backups.
